Today, I had the amazing opportunity to meet Chris Johnson. Chris will be running for Treasurer soon in Falls Church City, Virginia. He has extensive experience in financials and has traveled all over the world giving various companies financial advice. He asked me to come down and photograph him interacting with the public. I had a great time hanging out with Chris and am definitely looking forward to working with him again.
I had the pleasure of photographing Lorrine's Birthday party at Eighteenth Street Lounge. It was an amazing party with lots of great people. The theme was red and black, which I loved. I get such a rush photographing such amazing personalities.
My daughter and I love playing at the park. It also gives me the chance to take pictures of her playing.
Pete( a friend and fellow photographer), and I decided to spend the 4th of July at the National Zoo. It's always fun taking photographs at the zoo.
My daughter turned three today. We celebrated by going to the Chuck E. Cheese, the Zoo, and having some fun in the pool.
Met up with the Naptown Photo Club for a sunrise session at Great Falls National Park in Mclean, Virginia. This is one of my favorite places to photograph. The falls are ever so dynamic and lovely no matter what time of the year you visit.
I spent my birthday at Awesome Con. Awesome Con is a comic book convention held annually at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. You can expect to find people dressed up in costumes (Cosplayers), comic book booths, comic book related clothing and merchandise, and celebrities. I had a great time checking out all the different sights and sounds.
I stopped by the National Zoo today. It's great walking around and seeing so many fascinating animals up close. My favorite animals are Tigers, Lions, Cheetahs, and Wolves. I can't wait to return, hopefully it'll be cloudy so I can stay a little longer.
Got up way too early and drove down to Jones Point Park in Alexandria, Virginia. Jones Point Park is an excellent place to visit for the whole family. It has a playground, basketball courts, hiking/biking trails, piers, and a lighthouse. Jones Point Lighthouse was built in 1855 and used as a warning light to ships approaching the Washington Navy Yard. My favorite part about visiting Jones Point is the incredible view of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.
Took a trip to Piney Point Lighthouse in Saint Mary's County with the Calvert Photography Club. It is one of the oldest lighthouses on the Potomac River, built in 1836. There's plenty to explore, including a boardwalk, beach, museum, and pier.
